Times are in Indian Standard Time (IST) and are the same everywhere in India. Panchangs can differ by a minute or two because they compute the ayanamsa slightly differently.

ℹ️ What is Gand Mool and how is it calculated?

The nakshatras on either side of the points where a water sign ends and a fire sign begins — Cancer/Leo, Scorpio/Sagittarius and Pisces/Aries — are called Gand Mool: Mercury's Ashlesha, Jyeshtha and Revati, and Ketu's Magha, Mula and Ashwini.

Each pair is taken as whole nakshatras (the North-Indian convention): Gand Mool starts when the sidereal (Lahiri) Moon enters Ashlesha, Jyeshtha or Revati and ends when it leaves Magha, Mula or Ashwini. The times are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris.

Traditionally, Mool shanti is considered for a child born in Gand Mool — ask your pandit about it. To find the nakshatra of a birth, make a kundali.
